Today wraps up the last of three summer camps run by Insight Adventures at the Vanke Twin Moon Bay resort near Shenzhen, China.
Over the past 3 weeks, history has been made by a hundred Chinese children from Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Xiamen, Fuzhou and Hunnan who have enjoyed the stunning beach location of Twin Moon Bay.
Insight Adventures have yet again been injecting adventure into the Vanke camps by giving children aged 6-15 the opportunity to go surfing, kayaking, camping, sailing, paddle-baord and of course building sandcastles everywhere!
The whole camp took on a marine theme, with added learning about the marine environment through a visit to the local sea turtle sanctuary, making jellyfish swim in a bottle and creating their own sea turtle to take home.
Our Wave Sports Manager Nik Zanella, as apart of Insight Adventures' Surf School, recently taught his youngest ever client (aged 6) to stand up on a wave and we are trailblazing teaching Chinese children to surf, which has not been offered at any other China camp!
The 2014 camps were a huge success; in teaching children about teamwork, being independent, practicing communicating in English, and learning about their own adventurous side – all under the safe watchful eye of their Insight Camp Counsellor and activity leaders.
